The National Assembly welcomed to its Chamber Dr. Jaushieh Joseph Wu, Minister of Foreign Affairs – Taiwan, for a special tour of the building. The tour was done by Mr. Eddie Webster, Clerk of the National Assembly and Mrs. Clarita Pech, Deputy Clerk. The tour entailed a detailed description of the National Assembly and its functions, as well, a first hand look at the Mace and the various section of the building was done.
Dr. Jaushieh Joseph Wu was accompanied by Mr. Charles Liu, Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan); Mr. Tien-Yie Hsiang, Ambassador and Secretary General, Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund; Mr. Tah-Ray Yui, Director General, Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs, MOFA; and Mr. Yi-Hsiang Chao, Director, Office of Minister of Foreign Affairs, MOFA.
The Honourable Lee Mark Chang, President of the Senate was also present and had a short meeting in the National Assembly’s Committee Room with Mr. Wu after the tour was done.
