Today, 30th March 2022, the Senate convened in the Chamber of the National Assembly for a Special Sitting. The day began with the Belizean Prayer by Senator, the Honourable Carolyn Trench-Sandiford, President of the Senate. The Senator, Honourable Michael Peyrefitte was absent from today’s sitting, therefore there was the oath of allegiance of temporary Senator Orson Elrington, who was the alternate. The highlight of the Day was the debate on the General Revenue Appropriation (2022/2023) Bill, 2022. However, there were also the following on the Orders of the Day:
