Today, Friday, 24th July 2020, the House of Representatives convened in the National Assembly Chamber in Belmopan. The meeting began shortly after 10 A.M. The Orders of the Day comprised of four (4) Bills brought from the House of Representatives, those were: General Revenue Supplementary Appropriation (2020/2021) (No.2) Bill, 2020; Business Names (Amendment) Bill, 2020; Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2020; and Limited Liability Partnership (Amendment) Bill, 2020. The four Bills were passed. There were also four (4) Papers that were ordered to lie on the Table, those were: Supplementary Appropriation (No.2) Schedule for Fiscal Year 2020/2021; Report of the Integrity Commission of Belize For the Period August 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018; Annual Report of the Integrity Commission of Belize For the Period January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019; and the Belize Government Lotteries Exclusive License (2020-2030) and Government of Belize/Brad’s Gaming Group Limited Contract. As well, there was one (1) Motion that was adopted and that was The OPEC Fund for International Development – US$10,000,000 – Support to COVID-19 Food Assistance Program Loan Motion, 2020.
Several Members of the House of Representatives spoke on the adjournment. The Meeting was adjourned at 4:33. P.M.
