Yesterday, June 7, 2017, the Senate Special Select Committee met in the Chamber of the National Assembly of Belize in Belmopan, to continue with their investigation into the Auditor General’s Special Visa and other findings Report on the Immigration and Nationality Department for period 2011-2013.
The only witness to appear before the Committee was Mr. Carlos Perdomo, former Minister of Immigration and Nationality. The Committee asked him numerous questions based on incidences whereby his name was mentioned in the Auditor General’s Report on Immigration.
Chairman- Senator Aldo Salazar, Senator Carla Barnett, Senator Elena Smith, Senator Ashley Rocke, Senator Markhelm Lizarraga and Senator Eamon Courtenay were all present at yesterday’s meeting.
The Meeting began at 10:08A.M. and was adjourned at 12:10 P.M.
