Our Lady of the Way R.C. School Visits the National Assembly

On Wednesday 19^th June 2024, the National Assembly of Belize welcomed students from Our Lady of the Way R.C. School in Ladyville, Belize District.

A group of 58 students from Grades 2 & 3 in the company of staff members and parents, sat in the Public Galleries where they received a presentation on the functions of the Legislative Branch of Government by two Parliamentary Officers.

The students got a chance to view the Chambers along with its artifacts, learn about the main functions of the National Assembly, and hear the process by which legislation is passed. Even though the students were from different grades, they were very attentive and engaged in generous discussions throughout the presentation.
