The Honourable Lee Mark Chang, President of the Senate is in Buenos Aires, Argentina participating in the 9th Gathering of the Group of Women Parliamentarians of ParlAmericas. The theme for this year’s gathering is “Women’s Empowerment: Social and Political Responses”, while there will be a training session for men that will discuss the strategies to support gender equality in parliaments. The three day event began on Monday, May 22, to Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
