Madam President Receives Courtesy visits from the Ambassador of Brazil and from the British High Commissioner to Belize respectively.

Today, Tuesday, 15th November 2022, the President of the Senate, Senator, the Honourable Carolyn Trench-Sandiford welcomed a courtesy visit from the Ambassador of Brazil, H.E. Agemar De Mendonca Sanctos. The short meeting took place in the Committee Room of the National Assembly building in Belmopan. Amongst their discussion were issues of mutual interest of concerns, as well as the possibility of creating friendship between the parliament of both countries.

Later on in the afternoon, Senator the Honourable Sandiford, then welcomed another courtesy from the British High Commissioner to Belize, H.E. Nicole Davison. The brief meetings took place in the Committee Room of the National Assembly. They discussed the priorities of the British High Commission such as climate change, gender equity, developmental agenda in terms of infrastructure. The Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly attended both of the meetings.
