On Friday, April 4th, 2025, over 200 visitors, including students, teachers, and parents/guardians from St. Joseph Primary School in Belize City and Sacred Heart RC School in Dangriga, were given the opportunity to visit the National Assembly of Belize, currently located at the George Price Centre in Belmopan. This special educational trip provided the group with an enriching experience, offering valuable insights into the role of the National Assembly and its crucial function in the governance of Belize.

The visit aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the legislative process and showcase the importance of the National Assembly in shaping the laws and policies that govern the country. Students were given a guided tour of the chambers where the House of Representatives and the Senate meet, gaining an appreciation for how laws are debated, made, and enacted.

This opportunity provided students, teachers, and parents alike to ask questions, engage with parliamentarians, and gain a deeper understanding of how decisions that affect the lives of all Belizeans are made.

To add an extra touch of excitement, the star students who answered questions and actively participated received a special token – a signed bookmark from the Clerk of the National Assembly!
