On Wednesday, 27th November 2024, the National Assembly of Belize welcomed 31 students from Howard Smith Nazarene School located in Benque Viejo Town. 
The students, all from Standard VI, along with their teachers and parents, received a presentation on the functions of the Legislative Branch of Government. The young students were given an opportunity to view the gallery, sit in the chambers, learn about the main functions of the National Assembly and learnt how legislation is passed. The students were very cooperative and engaged in the presentation when questions were asked.
