The House of Representative met today, Friday, November 23, 2018, at 10:10 A.M. in the Chamber of the National Assembly Building, Belmopan. For this Sitting, invitations were extended to Ambassadors, CEOs and different personnel namely in the medical field to attend the Sitting to honour the late Comandante Fidel Castro, Former President of Cuba. Speeches were given by the Right Honourable Dean Oliver Barrow, Prime Minister of Belize and the Member for Lake Independence, the Honourable Cordel Hyde, on behalf of the Leader of the Opposition. Shortly after the presentations, there was a ten minute break whereby the Prime Minister met with the invitees. The meeting then resumed and the following were presented as was listed on the Orders of the Day:

3. Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill, 2018.
Bill for an Act to amend the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 230 of the Substantive Laws of Belize, Revised Edition 2011; to make better provisions in relation to the registration requirements of bills of sale in relation to vehicles and trailers requiring registration to be done with a Transport Department or municipal authority in the respective district; and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
