Holy Ghost Primary School & Our Lady of Guadalupe R.C. Primary School Visit the National Assembly of Belize

Today, Friday, 5^th May 2023, the Parliament of Belize welcomed two primary schools for educational tours.

The first to visit was the Holy Ghost Primary School from Dangriga Town. Approximately 60 students from Standards II and III along with 4 teachers and 15 parents were all eager to learn about the Legislative branch of Government. Second, was the Standards I, II, and III students of Our Lady of Guadalupe R.C. Primary School from Corozal Town, a total of 75 students who were accompanied by 50 parents, and 3 teachers.

Both schools had the privilege of viewing the different artifacts placed in the Chambers of the National Assembly. The groups attentively listened to the presentation on the functions of the House of Representatives and the Senate and were certainly not shy in engaging in the presentation and, thereafter, answering questions about what they learned.
