Jireh Fundamental Education Visits the National Assembly of Belize

Today, Tuesday, 23^rd April 2024, the National Assembly of Belize welcomed students from the Jireh Fundamental Education.

A small group of 16 students from Grades 6 and 7 in the company of 3 staff members sat in the Public Galleries where they received a presentation on the functions of the Legislative Branch of Government by two Parliamentary Officers.

The students got a chance to view the Chambers along with the artifacts, learn about the main functions of the National Assembly, and hear the process by which legislation is passed. The students were very interactive and did not shy away from engaging during the presentation and asking questions at the end.
