Senate President attends Forum of Parliamentary Dialogue in Morocco
President of the Senate, the Hon. Carolyn Trench Sandiford, is attending a Forum of Parliamentary Dialogue that started on 3 March 2022, at the Chamber of Councilors in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco. The three-day event is being held by the Group of Senates of Africa, the Arab World and Latin America and the Caribbean.
According to the Group, the countries of the African continent, the Arab world and Latin America and the Caribbean share common ties, values and traits that have served as the foundation for the historic relations that their people have been maintaining. They are currently facing multiple and growing challenges inherent in the geopolitical changes that are taking place at the global level and that have made South-South cooperation a strategic axis in the foreign policy of the countries of these areas.
