On Wednesday, 13th January 2021, a Special Sitting of the Senate (it’s first working session) was held in the Chamber of the National Assembly Building. The meeting began with a word of prayer by Senator, the Honourable Madam President.
The meeting started at 10:00 A.M.
The Orders of the Day contained:
Sessional Paper:
1/1/14 – Supplementary Appropriation (No.5) Schedule for Fiscal Year 2020/2021.
As well as two (2) Motions, which were debated and adopted. Those Motions are:
Good Governance in Belize Motion, 2021; and
Designate New Holidays and Special Days Motion, 2021.
And lastly, there were two (2) Bills that were brought from the House of Representatives and were passed at yesterday’s Sitting. Those are:
- General Revenue Supplementary Appropriation (2020/2021) (No.5) Bill, 2021; and
- Public Health (Amendment) Bill, 2021.
All Members of the Senate were present. The Senate was adjourned at 3:09 P.M.
