Today the Senate met in the Chambers of the National Assembly Building for a Special Sitting of the Senate to debate the General Revenue Appropriation (2020/2021) Bill, 2020. However, that wasn’t the only Bill on the agenda for the day. There were also Treasury Bills (Amendment) Bill, 2020 and the Supreme Court of Judicature (Amendment) Bill, 2020. Only the General Revenue Appropriation (2020/2021) Bill, 2020, was debated. Nevertheless all three Bills passed in today’s Sitting.
As well there were two (2) Papers ordered to lie on the Table which were: Draft Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for Fiscal Year 2020/2021, and The Nineteenth Annual Report of the Ombudsman of Belize for the Year Ending 2019.
Also, one (1) Motion was adopted and that was the Official Charities Fund Motion, 2020.
All Senators were present at todays Sitting. The Meeting adjourned at 1:35 P.M.
