Today, the Senate Special Select Committee met in the Chamber of the National Assembly of Belize in Belmopan, to continue with their investigation into the Auditor General’s Special Visa and other findings Report on the Immigration and Nationality Department for period 2011-2013.
Present at today’s meeting was Ms. Ruth Meighan, former Director at the Immigration and Nationality Department, who was interrogated by the Committee Members. Ms. Meighan appeared before the Committee alone to answer the questions concerning the Visa Report.
Chairman- Senator Aldo Salazar, Senator Carla Barnett, Senator Elena Smith, Senator Ashley Rocke, and Senator Markhelm Lizarraga were all present at today’s meeting except for Senator Eamon Courtenay.
The Meeting began at 9:40A.M. and was adjourned at 3:45 P.M.
