On Tuesday, 28th January 2025, the National Assembly of Belize welcomed 81 students from United Evergreen Primary School located in Belmopan City.
The Standard IV students, accompanied by their Teachers, received a presentation on the functions of the Legislative Branch of Government by Parliamentary Officer I, Mr. Manuel Grant. The young students were given an opportunity to view the gallery, sit in the chambers, learn about the main functions of the National Assembly and learnt how legislation is passed.
The difference between a good school visit and a great one, is the engagement of the students. This group of bright and industrious students were attentive, curious, and full of personality and questions. Thereafter, the Students visited the George Price Museum and learned some very interesting facts about the father of our Nation.
It was a pleasure hosting our future leaders here at the National Assembly.
