St. Joseph R.C. Primary School visits the National Assembly of Belize

On Friday, 8^th November 2024, the National Assembly of Belize welcomed 100 students from St. Joseph R.C. Primary School to its chambers.

The students, comprised of four Standard 2 classes along with their teachers and parents, received a presentation on the functions of the Legislative Branch of Government by Parliamentary Officer I, Manuel Grant.

The students were given an opportunity to view the chambers, heard the process by which legislation is passed and learnt about the main functions of the National Assembly. The students were very interactive and did not shy away from engaging during the presentation and asking questions at the end.

The National Assembly commends the students and teachers for the respectful and well-behaved demeanor exhibited by the students during the tour.

The students also visited the George Price Museum and all in all, it was quite a great day of learning for some very eager-to-learn children.
